Christ is Risen!

Christ is Risen…..Indeed, He is Risen!

A blessed Pascha to one and all! May the grace of our Lord and Savior be with you and your families, and may His mercy bring you enduring peace and salvation!

The Stichera of the Resurrection

Your cross, O Lord, is life and resurrection to Your people,
And we place our hope in it.
Therefore, we sing to You:
O, our risen God, have mercy on us!

Your burial, O Master, opened paradise to the human race.
Delivered from death,
We now sing to You:
O, our risen God, have mercy on us!

With the Father and the Spirit,
Let us glorify Christ, risen from the dead.
Let us cry out to Him with a full voice:
You are our life and resurrection:
have mercy on us!

You arose from the tomb on the third day,
as it was written, O Christ,
And raised our ancestors with You.
Therefore, the human race glorifies You
And praises Your holy resurrection.

Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the praetorium, and they gathered the whole battalion before him. And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe upon him, and plaiting a crown of thorns they put it on his head, and put a reed in his right hand. And kneeling before him they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” And they spat upon him, and took the reed and struck him on the head. And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe, and put his own clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.

Live Video Feeds from Holy Resurrection Monastery

Excuse me if I have already posted this, and likewise forgive me if it has somehow slipped my attention to do so…. I wanted to let interested folk know that Holy Resurrection Monastery (in Saint Nazianz, Wisconsin) posts video feeds from their daily services on Facebook Live! Surely, there is no substitute for attending any service or Divine Liturgy in person, but it does provide a wonderful avenue of at least a virtual participation for those who may not otherwise have access to such throughout the day. Click on the link below to visit the monastery’s Facebook page and to learn more / connect (as provided by a feature of Facebook Live, you can elect to be conveniently notified when the  monastery is broadcasting)…
